Fresh Ice is a college hockey newsletter created by me, Bailey Johnson. In full honesty, the idea for it came to me in a dream, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized it wasn’t even close to the worst idea I’ve ever had.
I covered Michigan hockey for the last two seasons and fell in love with college hockey as a product in the process. I firmly believe that there’s a market for college hockey coverage, so here I am, dipping my toe in the water.
For now, this will be the home of all of my personal projects I’ve been working on throughout the coronavirus lockdown. Eventually, I hope to turn this into a paid subscription model and offer day-to-day game coverage, but for now, this is the spot for all of my projects, musings and thoughts.
